ROSE OF VENUS
Branding & Website client
About the CLIENT
Faelan Shiva is a Priestess, Astrologer, Sacred Sound & Voice Alchemist, Teacher, and guide of the esoteric arts. Her work is deeply connected to nature, and she offers a variety of ways to work with her including 3 levels of Priestess Training, a mentorship Program, one on one sessions as well as self paced and live classes.
The Vision
She came to me after years of running her business with a Wix site she had set up herself, eager for an upgrade to help her take her business to the next level. At that time she didn’t have any online portal for her trainings, and this ended up being a big part of what we created in our work together - a place that her students could come back to again and again to review the material she taught.
She was also excited to bring the many rich symbols (from animal totems to hieroglyphs she designed, to starry skies etc) of her work into her branding, which we worked with throughout her branding and website design process.
She wanted it to be beautiful (with a very clear art nouveu aesthetic vision), meaningful, professional and authentic. We chose to go with Squarespace because it’s intuitive, beautiful and pretty well integrated across multiple features and marketing tools.
The Process
We started off with the vision for her branding and explored several directions based on her intake questionnaire, our kick-off call, and her astrological chart.
Once we landed the “look and feel” mood board, we moved on to the logo that was a very key element in the process. We spent a good amount of time refining it until it felt fully aligned with her essence and that of her work.
From there we landed the homepage, which features an introduction to who she is, testimonials, her signature program and a brief overview of all the different ways people can work with her. Of course, we also included a newsletter sign-up inceptive, that we conceptualized together in our strategy call.
The rest of the website all flowed out of the homepage being refined. This is how I like to work :). I made sure to get clear on all of the pages we would need to build ahead of time and what was to be prioritized for the main menu.
The process included creating a good amount of custom assets for the different offerings, including matching decorative elements and thumbnails that gave a nod to the logo.
The shop build was extensive because it included a variety of different types of offers that required different check-out processes and internal management.
The sticky part of the process was transfering her domain from her old provider to squarespace so she could keep the same URL. At first the transfer failed but after some troubleshooting, I got it all up and running.
I finished up the website with a round of SEO to make sure it shows up for relevant websearches, as well as several training calls to make sure Faelan was supported in taking the website over.
I also included some customizable social media templates for the types of posts she knew she often uses in her work.
The Transformation
The Rose of Venus website went through a major glow up through our work together. It really speaks to the heart and soul of Faelan’s work and has a lot more to offer her students now with a robust back end of student-only materials.
It was a very comprehensive project where we touched on everything from branding, to website, to marketing and strategy, and I am proud of how it turned out.
