About the Project
Song of the Soul is a one-of-a-kind offering by astrologer Gemini Brett and Grammy-nominated pianist Erik Deutsch that transforms astrological charts into original solo piano compositions.
I was brought in to help shape the brand positioning, clarify the offerings, and build the digital home for this deeply artistic and mystical project—translating an inspired idea into a refined, premium online experience. However, budget was pretty tight, so instead of a full brand identity to focused on making sure the website reflected this goal.
The Vision
Song of the Soul began as a spontaneous act of creativity: a birth chart reading for a baby named Melody that turned into music instead of words. What needed to happen next was refinement, and turning this into its own business.
The vision was to:
Elevate the offering from a beautiful idea into a clearly positioned premium product
Create a brand narrative that honored the sacred origin story
Bring structure and simplicity to a multidimensional, artistic concept
Build a website that felt both cosmic and modern—while still converting
The Process
I stepped in as both brand strategist and website designer.
My work included:
Clarifying and structuring the three core offers (Birth Chart, Relationship Chart, Event Chart)
Developing cohesive, conversion-optimized product descriptions
Refining pricing and delivery language to support premium positioning
Designing the website structure and page flow for intuitive user experience
Ensuring the voice felt authentic to Brett & to Erik, while polished and accessible
We began by anchoring into the essence of the offering: cosmic, intimate, refined, modern, premium.
From there, I:
Structured the site architecture for clarity and flow
Developed emotionally resonant copy rooted in Brett’s language but sharpened for impact
Created a clear visual system for their 3 main products and a clear purchasing system that integrated all the appropriate intake information for the astrological piece of the Soul Songs. It had to be both thorough and easy to use.
Designed calls-to-action that felt aligned rather than sales-driven
The Transformation
Song of the Soul evolved from an inspired collaboration into a fully articulated brand experience. The offers are clearly defined, the pricing is confidently positioned and the digital presence feels elevated and intentional. From passion project to a standalone brand!
